Folsom – Home of Folsom Prison popularized by Johnny Cash in Folsom Prison Blues! You may wonder why I mention that – well if you tell people you live in Folsom most of them say, “where the prison is”? Truly Folsom offers the some of the best living in Sacramento county. We have excellent schools, older and new subdivisions as well as an envious lifestyle. With over 200 miles of bike trails and miles of walking trails, Folsom Lake for water sports and shopping galore. We also have the finer things – craft beers, wine and fine restaurants and an adorable downtown – Sutter Street – which always has events and fun things to do such as an skating rink in the winter and farmers markets throughout the year. Close to downtown Sacramento, 40 minutes to the foothill wineries and an hour from Lake Tahoe.
El Dorado Hills – If you are looking for larger newer and some custom homes nestled in the hills look no further. Serrano has exceptional subdivisions complete with a private golf country club for your enjoyment. Town Center is the place to congregate for summer music concerts or festivals. Schools are a priority and are ranked well within the state. Wineries are hidden off Hwy 50 and offer a fun day long excursion.
Granite Bay – Looking for homes with privacy, look no further. Known for it’s beautiful country club and good schools, Granite Bay is nestled in a semi-rural area of Placer county yet is close to Roseville and Folsom so it enjoys all the amenities those larger cities have to offer. It is a little further inland than Roseville or Folsom so getting to freeways requires a bit more time; however, it’s country feel makes it all worth it.
Gold River/Rancho Cordova – Home of Sacramento State’s Aquatic Park. Rancho Cordova is growing south of Highway 50 where you can find planned community developments with community parks and walking trails. Highway 50 provides easy access for commuting to downtown Sacramento.
Orangevale – Located between Folsom and Roseville this community remains a relatively small Sacramento suburb of approx. 10,000 people. Home to smaller acreage properties as well as traditional subdivisions this community was originally known for it’s orchards. You can often find family fruit stands along the road during the summer months to this day.
Citrus Heights – Incorporated in 1996 Citrus Heights is conveniently located to all the region’s freeways. In addition to a diversified housing (apartments, condos, townhouses and single family houses) it is known for Sunrise Mall. In addition to the shopping opportunities at the Mall if you like tennis you can enjoy the annual professional tennis match series held there in the summer. This community is centrally located to all regional freeways for ease in commuting to downtown.
Sacramento – The state capital has many different and unique neighborhoods one can call home. Walking to work or local businesses and restaurants would most likely find you in Midtown or East Sacramento. Tree lined streets can be found in the Fab 40 neighborhood which features many differing styles of homes. Land Park has a fabulous park with something for everyone. The possibilities are limitless.
